My name's Matt White, I live in London but was born and brought up in Ipswich, Suffolk a typically English town. For the first 5 years of my life we lived in a tiny village called Raydon and then moved to a slightly larger village, Witnesham.
We had a great childhood playing football at the rec, swimming in our pool during the summer and spending a little too much time with our ZX-81 and Spectrum. My brother and I went to St Josephs College (that was), a day and boarding school in Ipswich.
after doing moderately well in a-levels I studied for a degree in Geography at University College, London which was just a superb 3 years of drinking far too much and, looking back on it, working far too little.
I was fortunate enough to get a job straight out of university on a graduate scheme at a company called Willis which was a great starting point to learn programming and systems development. i stayed for 5 years almost to the day.
Since 2000 I have been an independent consultant working as a specialist developer of large or particularly complex Lotus Notes and Domino applications in the financial services industry. If you'd like to know more then please have a look at my "Hire Me!" page or my company site

My career since 1996 has been tied very closely in to IBM Lotus Notes and Domino, I am not a partial observer! Generally I am pretty biased towards Notes and Domino, I do like some other technologies but I'm human and know where my bread's buttered!
Occasionally I will be given software by vendors in the technology market place, if I write a review on this site it will be warts and all so a positive review is genuine. I do not receive any payment for reviews and prefer to keep it that way.
